What is “healthcare navigation” and why do I need to know it?
“Healthcare” is a broad term for describing a very unique and personal experience. From a quick minor visit at a clinic to a hospitalization, the spectrum is vast and at times overwhelming for patients and their families. People can find themselves in the middle of an enormous system with many fears, questions, and feelings of helplessness. One way to overcome this obstacle is to become an active participant in one’s own healthcare. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with an owner’s manual, until now.
